SANTA CLAUS CONTEST’S RULES

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win this contest.

*** Santa Claus is an imaginary figure said to bring presents for children on Christmas. He is conventionally pictured as a jolly old man from the far north, with a long white beard and red garments trimmed with white fur. Also called Saint Nicholas or Saint Nick.
ORIGIN late 18th cent.: originally a U.S. usage, alteration of Dutch dialect Sante Klaas ‘St. Nicholas.’

*** To enter the contest, it’s enough to put a picture of you dressed like &/or acting like Santa Claus, on the blog.
If you’ll wear his clothes (also the hat, only) you can take a picture of the daily life of our lovely gift-dispenser (for example, in the supermarket or while he’s running on the road).
If you’ll act like Santa Claus in the picture (because it’d be difficult to find these clothes in Kabul or in Angola), it’s necessary to take a shot of Santa Claus at work (for example, for Thomas it will be easy to enter the Contest with a picture while he’s trying to come out of a chimney).

*** Every one of you can put a maximum of three pictures, and the format of the title will be the following,
"Santa Claus Contest: yourname/number of picture submitted".
I.e. the first picture of Fabrice will be, Santa Claus Contest: Fabrice 1. The third of Sylvaine will be, Santa Claus Contest: Sylvaine 3.
It’s possible to add a few words to the photo, just to explain what you’re doing.

*** No pornographic content will be judged by the jury, this mean that a picture of Thomas with a long white beard, while is fucking a dwarf, will be disqualified.

*** The deadline for the submission of your pictures is 23,59 of January the 5th, 2008.
The jury, composed by several friends of mine, one of which is a Finnish man living in Helsinki (a wonderful friend that I met when I was Erasmus in Strasburg) will evaluate all your photos in a few days.

*** The trophy for the winning snap author is the penguin. For the second classified there is some Swiss chocolate. For the third one, some Italian chocolate.
